TOFFEE SQUARES


1/2 lb. (2 sticks) Unsalted CF margarine, softened
1 Cup light brown sugar
1 tsp. Vanilla
1 Egg yolk
2 Cups GF flour
8 oz. Dark chocolate
1/2 Cup pecans or walnuts

Cream the margarine with the brown sugar, vanilla and egg yolk. Add the flour and blend.

Spread in a greased jelly roll pan, 12" x 18" and bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Remove from oven and place chocolate bar on top. After chocolate has melted from the heat of the crust), spread it with a knife and sprinkle with nuts. Press nuts into the chocolate with the back of a large spoon. Cool and cut into small pieces.
